GALLERY

In the impressive Gallery room is the medal, badge and art collection. You can book the Gallery for a function if you wish (capacity 80).


THE GURKHA MEMORIAL GARDEN.

Situated at The Sir Harold Hillier Garden and Arboretum at Ampfield near Romsey, a few miles from the Gurkha Museum, This garden commemorates Gurkhas who have given their lives in service of the Crown.

The centrepiece is a traditional Nepalese Chautara or resting place, its surrounds display the badges of Gurkha Regiments. Around are over 100 Nepalese shrubs.


THE GURKHA VISITORS CENTRE

Situated at Sir John Moore Barracks, Shornecliffe, Folkestone, the Centre contains exciting displays of uniforms, weapons, medals and much more to help tell the story of the Gurkhas and of Nepalese culture. Gifts can be bought from the shop.


FRIENDS OF THE GURKHA MUSEUM

Become a Friend and help us to collect and safeguard the history of the Gurkhas. Contribute to its continuous improvement by subscribing annually to be a Friend. The fund is used solely for the enhancement of the collections and their displays.

Membership
A subscription of £15 or more paid by annual, quarterly or monthly entitles the donor to Annual Membership of the Friends. A single donation of £250 qualifies subscribers for Life Membership.

Privileges
Friends of the Museum are entitled to receive:

Free entrance to the Museum throughout the year for themselves and accompanying adult are admitted at half price.

A 10% discount on all Museum shop purchases totalling, in a single purchase on one day, of £10 or more.

A biannual Newsletter (Spring and Autumn).

Discounts on ticket prices for special Museum events.
